Cosmetic companies should end animal testing

In the Humane Society International website, it was estimated that about 100,000 to 200,000 animals suffer and die just from testing cosmetics and household products on them. Cosmetic companies need to be using different alternatives but still can make safe and new products that are made so it does not affect animals. The animals are suffering from these test happening but there are more safe, cheaper, and quicker ways to get results instead of using animals.

Companies continue to animal test because they think it is the easiest and most productive way even though the animals suffer through this process and eventually die. Through the process of the testing the animals, their eyes and skin go through irritation tests in where they are shaved and applied to their skin is a test substance in which it can last weeks or months before they get the testing right on the animal. Some animals are then made to swallow enormous amounts of unproven test chemicals to find out the dose that can cause death, and can put the animal through a large amount of suffering that could lead them to be blind, damage to their organ and possibly lead to death. The animals are not treated after the testing if alive, as they are killed by either decapitation or neck breaking. The animals that live in the lab, not only do they suffer from pain. But they suffer from stress from being small, loud crowded cages, and from not living the life they used to live now it causes stress which affects their daily life. Now, since there is many problems to this situation there is solution too that will work to stop this.

Cosmetic companies need to put a stop to animal testing and now need to use the cruelty free way. Using both healthy and diseased tissues that are donated from humans would be accurate and safe then using animals that suffer. The tissue can always be used when someone dies which could help multiple diseases. The tissues can be donated through procedures like transplants and cosmetic surgeries. For example, from the “Cruelty Free International” skin and eye models made from rebuilt human skin and other tissues have been developed and are used to replace the cruel rabbit irritation tests. Also this testing would much cheaper and then companies would be saving money from this, it is much more reliable and relevant than using animals to get results as you are using the human body and it will replace outdated animal testing that has been around for a long time.

Keeping those points in mind of how using human and diseased tissue will be more reliable than animal testing. From this human testing, it means that this animals will live a longer and more productive life. These cosmetic companies will know save money from using human and disease tissue because they will not have to have use as much resources like when animals testing is done because the human tissues will be more reliable and accurate. From this testing happening, millions of animals will be saved and will no longer have to go through this terrible situation.

How people like us can help these endangered animals is by buying cruelty-free products and getting a little more information about the product before buying it. Also, to educate others and tell them how wrong animal testing is and how they could be using a product that does animal testing. Another easy way is to make a simple donation to a charity who are working for a cure to stop a disease that companies are using donations.

These animals have little or no control on what is happening to them and it is really easy to by helping them just by not buying products who do animal testing, and just to get the word out on what is happening to these animals. Testing cosmetic and household products on animals should be banned.
